Rich Waterman

Councilmember Rich Waterman previously served as Mayor following his election by the City Council on December 5, 2017.  Councilmember Waterman was elected to office during the general election on November 8, 2016.  Councilmember Waterman previously served on the Campbell City Council from 2010-2014 including a one-year term as Mayor in 2014.  Councilmember Waterman has been a homeowner in Campbell since 1995, and has been a very active participant in our community.

Over the years, he has held many volunteer positions in the community including serving as a member of the City of Campbell's General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC), Board Member for the Campbell Chamber of Commerce, and Commissioner on the Campbell Parks and Recreation Commission.

After a successful career in technology,  Councilmember Waterman became a Campbell small business owner and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with his own business specializing in small business taxes. 
Councilmember Waterman earned a B.S. in Computer Engineering from UCLA. He also holds a Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) from San Jose State University. 
Councilmember Waterman lives with his partner of twenty three years, Bruce; a puppy named Axel; and a parrot named Max. When not involved in Campbell   Councilmember Waterman enjoys snowboarding, wine tasting, traveling and cooking.
