ENFORCEMENT - Are the Campbell Police issuing citations for violating the County order?

The Campbell Police Department have issued zero citations based on the order. While the County’s shelter in place order is considered a misdemeanor if violated, our officers are focusing on educating the public on the importance of this order and asking for compliance.

Citations will be used as a last resort. If we find a business or group of individuals are failing to comply after being warned, further action will be taken. As this situation is evolving and may change rapidly, the Campbell Police are ready to respond when needed to enforce additional restrictions the order may impose. If you have any concerns, please contact us directly so that we can avoid the spread of rumors that is causing unnecessary fear and confusion. You can contact us by emailing campbellpolice@campbellca.gov.
