The City of Campbell is pleased to announce Alta Planning + Design has been hired to develop the Campbell Multimodal Transportation Plan, with support from Fehr & Peers and Catalyze Silicon Valley.

About the Plan

The Campbell Multimodal Transportation Plan is a 2-year community-driven planning effort, funded through a Caltrans Sustainable Planning Grant. This is the City’s first-ever plan to create a safe and connected sustainable transportation network for people walking, taking transit, or riding a bike or scooter. The Campbell Multimodal Transportation Plan will help the City secure future grant funding while making sure investments directly address the needs, challenges, and values of the community.

The plan will create a community-prioritized list of projects, policies and programs to improve mobility for everyone in Campbell. This list will act as a roadmap for the City of Campbell’s investments over the next 5-10 years. Improvements could include but not be limited to the following:

  • Better sidewalks, new crosswalks, and intersection safety upgrades
  • New trails, separated bikeways, and more parking for bikes
  • Bus stop improvements and better access to transit
  • Landscaping and pedestrian-scale lighting

The Campbell Multimodal Transportation Plan builds upon previous plans in Campbell and Santa Clara County, ensuring strong connections to neighboring cities and proactive preparation for a future where people have a wide range of options for getting around easily, safely, and comfortably.
