​At the July 2, 2019, City Council meeting the second reading of Ordinance 2248 was adopted establishing a by-district election process for five Council districts as shown on map 111b. Ordinance 2248 also established that Councilmembers in districts one and two, shall be elected beginning at the General Municipal election in November of 2020, and every four years thereafter; and Councilmembers from districts three, four, and five shall be elected at the General Municipal Election in November 2022, and every four years thereafter.

About Focus Maps:



​The focus maps below, along with the proposed sequencing for the districts were prepared by National Demographics Corporation (NDC) per Council direction at the June 3, 2019, City Council meeting. The focus maps were published to this site on June 11, 2019, for public review. These maps were discussed during the public hearing at the June 18, 2019, City Council meeting and map 111b was selected as the desired City electoral district map and first reading of  Ordinance 2248  establishing a by district election process was approved unanimously.
