Therapy Dog Program

The Campbell Police Department is excited to welcome the addition of our first therapy dog and announce the first program of its kind for a law enforcement agency in Santa Clara County.

In August if 2022, the K9 Team further expanded by adding a Therapy Dog donated by the Campbell Police Foundation. Sergeant Heitzman leads the K9 Program and has been chosen as K9 Morgan's handler. Morgan will provide comfort to witnesses or victims of a crime. In addition, she will provide important mental and emotional wellness benefits to our employees and can be an exceptional ambassador for the department. As an agency that embraces community engagement, we believe a therapy dog is a beneficial tool for establishing stronger relationships.

This addition would not have been possible without the continued support of the Campbell Police Foundation. The Campbell Police Department looks forward to the further development of this program and the impact it will make on not only the department but the entire Campbell community.
