Since our inception in 1952, the Campbell Police Department has aimed to protect and serve our community with integrity. We currently have approximately 70 full time employees, both sworn and not sworn, across our four divisions. All employees work to uphold the core principles of policing; service, justice, and fundamental fairness.

Administrative Services Division

The Administrative Division consists of sworn and professional employees whose purpose is to provide internal support and supervision to each division within the organization. 

The Administrative Division is comprised of the Chief, two Captains, Support Services Manager, Executive Assistant, and Communications & Public Engagement Coordinator.

Special Enforcement Division

Captain Dan Livingston supervises the Special Enforcement Division. 

The Special Enforcement Division includes the Investigative Services Unit (Detectives) and the Traffic Unit

The Investigative Unit seeks to resolve cases and work to proactively reduce crime. 

The Traffic Unit focuses on reducing traffic accidents and creating safer roadways.

Field Services Division

Captain Ian White supervises the Field Services Division

The Field Services/Patrol Division is staffed with 4 Sergeants, 4 Agent, 20 Police Officers, and 2 Community Service Officers. 

Officers patrol by car, bicycle, and on foot to maintain proactive and preventive public safety practices. Services include responding to emergency calls, investigating crimes, enforcing criminal and vehicle codes.

Support Services Division

Andrea Atkinson oversees the Support Services Division.

The Support Services Division is made up of the Communications Unit (Dispatch), the Records Unit, and the Property/Evidence Unit and the Public Safety Systems Specialist.

The Communications Unit is responsible for dispatching calls for service, monitoring field units, and ensuring the safety of officers in the field. 

The Records Unit oversees the processing and management of all Police Department records including crime reports, accident reports, warrants, and citations. 

The Property/Evidence unit is tasked with safekeeping evidence items brought into the Police Department until their release.

The Public Safety Systems Specialist supports department operations by managing servers, databases, Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), and the Records Management System (RMS).
